ORM is the digital agency sponsor of Hacktrain 4.0
ORM are proud to be the sole digital agency sponsor of this year’s Hacktrain event, alongside rail industry experts who will come together to discuss the most pressing issues and exciting technology advancements affecting rail. Hacktrain conference and hackathon, run by the team at Hack Partners, takes place on 24-26 November this year.
As well as having a presence at the event, ORM’s Executive Director of Strategy, Andy Farmer, will also be speaking on the Multi-Modal panel, along with other senior professionals from public transport companies. This is an exciting opportunity for our digital agency to share thoughts and experience from our work in the transport industry. We work with leading train operating companies devising their digital strategies, and developing their digital real estate and online brand identities; and we’ve previously worked with National Rail to create one of the first smartwatch apps.
Following on from the conference will be a 48-hour hackathon event, where talented software engineers and aspiring entrepreneurs come together to innovate – whilst travelling on a train, of course! – and pitch their ideas to a judging panel at the end of the weekend. ORM will be onboard as mentors to to impart knowledge, as well as having some of our technical and UX experts participating in the hackathon.
