Shaping a new digital experience for Janus Henderson Investors

OPINION / 4th September 2018

In 2017, Janus Capital Group and Henderson Global Investors merged to form Janus Henderson Investors.  Following the merger, the asset management firm had the large task of amalgamating the multiple websites they had on different CMS platforms, with different brand identities and disparate visual approaches.

ORM was appointed at the end of last year to help Janus Henderson’s digital and marketing teams with developing a new visual identity for the new web platform.  Whilst they have strong in-house development team leading the build of the new website, ORM strategy and design teams steered the overarching digital vision and design phases of the project.

After running a series of global workshops and interviews with senior stakeholders, ORM integrated with the team at Janus Henderson’s London HQ over a 10 week period to run UX, design and content sprints.

Commenting on the project, ORM’s Experience Design Director, Chris Scull, said: “As a digital consultancy we believe we have almost unparalleled expertise in this sector and we jumped at the chance to work with a major asset management firm and cement our reputation in the financial services industry.

This specific project with Janus Henderson Investors presented numerous challenges – from a global project management perspective to the fact they had only recently merged as a new company.  However, the project also provided a tremendous opportunity for our design and strategy teams to fully immerse and make speedy, fundamental decisions on the new global design and overall digital experience. This will provide a strong base from which Janus Henderson can further evolve their digital presence.  We couldn’t be more proud of the end result.”

The new digital experience and brand identity for Janus Henderson Investors will be rolled out globally next year.
